Passenger Information

The following carriages are part of trains between Russia and Latvia:

Sleeping car 2-seater compartment, sleeping carriage

Passengers can travel in carriages with 9 double compartments. Both berths are located on the same lower level on both sides of the table. Each compartment has a TV with three channels to watch the videos and films of your choice, additional lighting and air conditioning.

In addition to the passenger compartments, the carriage has two toilets with washbasins, a compartment for the conductors and a service compartment.

Sleeping car with a business class compartment (Luxury)

The sleeper car has four business-class compartments (berths 1-2; 3-4; 5-6 and 7-8).

Each business-class compartment has a soft sofa that can be transformed into a double bed with a lower seat/berth with a wide folding bed 84 cm wide and an upper berth; a table, a folding chair-bed, built-in wardrobe and washbasin with hot and cold water.

The compartment has local interior lighting and air conditioning, as well as an individual audio/video system and a disc bar with music and video discs available.

In addition to the passenger compartments, the carriage is equipped with a shower cabin and two toilets with washbasins, a compartment for the conductors and a service compartment.

Tickets for the business class compartments are always booked from the train’s departure station to its destination station.

One or two passengers may travel in the compartments.

In all cases, the cost of the compartment is paid in full and one ticket issued.

Current benefits and discounts do not apply to the established fare in the business class compartment.

Children’s fares do not apply.

No refunds are made for partially unused tickets.

Since 1 February 2011, one child under the age of 10 may travel in a business class compartment free of charge as the third passenger in the compartment. This requires that the child is issued with a non-cash ticket document at the ticket office without specifying the seat number.

Sleeping car with four seat/berth seat compartment (Compartment)

Some carriages offer passengers the choice of 9 four-seat/berth compartments. Each compartment has 2 lower seats/berths, 2 upper berths, a table, additional lighting, and an air conditioning unit.

In addition to the passenger compartments, the carriage has two toilets with washbasins, a compartment for the conductors and a service compartment.

Open sleeping carriage with reserved seats/berths

This is an open carriage with 9 sections, each of which has 6 berths: 4 berths (two on both sides of the table) in the compartment part and 2 side berths – the lower berth can be converted into two seats and a table if necessary. There is an aisle between the compartment’s berths in the compartment section and the side of the carriage.

The carriage has two toilets with washbasins, a compartment for the conductors and a service compartment.

Open Carriage with Seating (General)

This is an open carriage with 9 compartments, each of which has 9 seats/berths: three seats/berths on both sides of the table in the compartment section and three side seats/berths which can be converted into two seats and a table, if necessary. There is an aisle between the seats/berths in the compartment section and the side of the carriage.

The carriage has two toilets with washbasins, a compartment for the conductors and a service compartment.
